His Excellency Mohammed Helal Al Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, said in a press conference on the announcement of the official launch of the card that the well-established partnership between the Abu Dhabi Chamber and the companies of the private sector is the source of the Chamber’s Pride. He noted that the Chamber was able to achieve a number of accomplishments through its cooperation with the companies of the private sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
“The Dhabi Family Discount Card is one of the services and projects of the Abu Dhabi Chamber which aim at activating trade the movement in the emirate as well as encouraging consumers on shopping and benefiting from real and priceless discounts.”
Al Muhairi pointed out that the card aims at supporting public and private companies and encouraging shoppers and subscribers benefit from the discounts the card offers which would result in huge savings, noting that more than 6,000 subscribers now benefit from the services of more than 600 companies across the country.
The Director General noted that the Chamber has recently contracted with a specialized company to develop the card, market its services, and attract more consumers to subscribe.
The coming week will see the announcement of further development in the services of the card by adding new benefits and features for subscribers and for the companies desirous in enlisting in the list of companies which offer discounts for card subscribers.
Al Muhairi emphasized the Chamber’s commitment to establishing the concept of partnership with the companies of the private sector, especially retail stores and services companies which supported the card and offered many features and discounts which aim at helping consumers and shoppers and offering them with excellent and attracting shopping opportunities.
Al Muhairi extended the Chamber’s thanks and appreciation to all the companies which contracted with the Chamber to offer the services of the card and the authorities which sponsored this project including the Ministry of Economy, Western Region Municipality, the Red Crescent, Abu Dhabi Finance, Zakat Fund and other establishments which added their trade marks to provide further discount and features to cardholders including Etihad Airways, Al Futaim Group, Jashinmal, and a number of fine restaurants in Abu Dhabi and the country. He also expressed his appreciation to the efforts of Media Works Company in developing the card and expanding their benefits and advantages.
Commenting on the signed agreement, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Finance Ali Eid Al Muhairi said: “The private sector is one of the main elements of any healthy and sustainable economy. We believe that our sponsorship for the Dhabi Card materializes the commitment of Abu Dhabi Finance in contributing to the growth and development of Abu Dhabi economy. The strong cooperation between Abu Dhabi Chamber with its members helps in creating a prosperous business environment that benefit consumers and the economy alike. The management of the card is trying to execute a wide sales plan that guarantees reaching the biggest number of consumers in a way that enables them from benefiting from the discounts of the card. The marketing plan aims at reaching more shops, stores and services companies to offer more added value to subscribers and cardholders.
